Wow. I went into school that day looking forward to a evening of music. I came out with a T-Shirt, wristband, water down my front where the singer had been chucking it on us and a fucked up ear due to being 10 foot from the stage. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. Southampton 23rd November. One of the best evenings of my life so far…

*EDIT* I swear that is me. And yes, I have an Afro and was wearing a wristband on the right wrist on that night.

Biig TV. Loud Homecinema. Film Heaven.

Blueray is brilliant. Every hair on the protagonists head is crystal clear. Every death is visceral with the sound deep enough to make you feel you are there taking the damage. In short, get it. You will not be disappointed.

That was good wasn’t it! Long story short, there was a lot of money involved in this. But the quality is worth every penny. I won’t be on it all the time if you play 360 against me, just when I want to! It is awkward looking at a different part of the 42″ screen to see how much ammo is left in your gun…

London.

Although Britain hate it and it is full of foreign tourists, it is still a good day out. I went to the Greenwich observatory. If you are anywheres near London, consider it and make sure you visit the presentation arena.

Best thing since sliced bread!

Death of another.

So, I decided to hack my 360 HDD (hard-drive to the uneducated) and found a working hack for my gamerpictures. When I DLed it to my old hard-drive, I decided that I could not be bothered to find out if it had worked. When I put in my current HDD (unhacked) I was dismayed to see the red light of death (bottom right) and the E73 error code on my screen. This is an ethernet port failure. I don’t use my ethernet port as I have wireless. I raged.

So it looks like I am going back to P.C for a bit. Or my brother’s 360. Whichever is avaliable!

Crashing Expectations.

Crash Course is out, but it doesn’t deserve the anticipation it got. I am disappointed with the length most of all as it only features 2 chapters which are not very long. It has taken me 20 or so minutes to finish it, but I am not too downhearted with the game play. It stands out as a add-on and feels like Left4Dead, making it a very playable campaign. It just shouldn’t have cost anything. Microsoft have lowered their reputation big style in making us pay almost full price for about a 1/3 of the length of what DLC should be. They should add at least an hour of play before the end, not 20 minutes. Anyway, we all know who to blame for the price, so here’s hoping that Microsoft get enough of a bollocking to let the next Left4Dead campaign (whenever it is) get released for free. Or at least give us tools to play the custom P.C campaigns…

Alien again anyone?

You might have guessed a while back that I enjoyed the Alien series, prior to Alien3. This is a re-make from the look of it. I might get round to seeing it, if I do a review will come straight your way.

GTA IV – Ballad of Gay Tony.

4 games which have had a lot of eyes aimed at in the last while. They all have the capabilities of being brilliant, and after these media release they all look it. The only thing I don’t like is the Crackdown 2 MP footage. It looks to be the same engine, same graphics, and same feel of gameplay. Maybe the new features will make up for it. Also, for pre-orderers (new word!) the L4D2 demo will be out on the 27th of oct, 4 days before halloween! And on top of that, moosey death is sweet. Dead Rising 2 is out next march, and the developers have released a new screen. Enjoy the gore!

One old, one new.

New top banner time! You may remember jamez911. Apart from trying to copy may name, he did do some posting back in the early days of MoR. Now he’s back. I’ve heard news of a film review coming in soon, so look out for that. Secondly, tombstone (if that is going to be his wordpress username) will be our sports editor, branching out our horizons. So if you’re into gaming, film, sports or just want general info on whats out there, be sure to visit us regularly! Also, we may be getting a new domain. More info later in the future.
